Tyler Childers, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Sturgill Simpson To Appear On John Anderson Tribute

Gonna be one hell of a record.

Not only is John Anderson a Country music legend, putting out hits such as "Seminole Wind" and "Straight Tequila Night," but the lineup coming on this tribute album is insanely good.

On August 5th, "Something Borrowed, Something New: a Tribute to John Anderson" will be released featuring covers from Luke Combs, Eric Church, Tyler Childers, Jamey Johnson, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, John Prine, Brent Cobb, Sturgill Simpson and more.

The album was produced by Dan Auerbach and David Ferguson, the same producers on Anderson's last album.

Ashley McBryde will be covering "Straight Tequila Night," and as much as I respect and like Mcbryde, I'm kind of disappointed she'll be the one singing one of my favorite John Anderson songs. But hey, I'll wait until I've heard it before I complain.

John Anderson has over 60 charting singles in four different decades and five number ones on Country radio. He's also pretty excited to hear his own tribute record.

"Listening to everybody do their own takes on the songs shows how the songs really come through. I thought to myself, 'You might have been young and foolish back then but you sure did pick some good songs.'"

The album will be released on August 5th.
