Only one episode down and American Idol is already showcasing some serious talent for this season.
Last night, 18-year old Colin Stough from Gateman, Mississippi, performed "Simple Man" for the judges and blew it out of the park.
Opening up about how his dad chose "alcohol and drugs" over his family, he expressed his love for his mom and admitted she was the one who signed him up.
After finishing his audition, Luke Bryan tells his fellow judges "That's what American Idol is about right there."
We'll see small town boy Colin Stough in Hollywood.
