Didn't know we needed this until now.
Earlier in the year, Jon Langston released a cover of "If You Want Love," a song originally written and recorded by hip-hop artist NF.
Now, this is a really random cover but it's no surprise, really, because I've seen Jon Langston come out at a Warped Tour show before with metalcore band Issues. However, this is something I still wouldn't have seen coming.
I've been a fan of NF for years. It's the raw emotion when he sings and raps that gravitated me towards his music. So if I'm being honest, I didn't know what the hell to expect from Langston on this one.
With that said, it's a damn good cover. When I said I didn't know what to expect, let's just say I don't think I expected something THIS good. There's really no "which is better" argument to be had here because they're so different and yet, still so emotional.
"If You Want Love" is one of my personal favorite songs from NF so I give credit to Langston for making it feel like his own and doing it justice.
