First things first, I'd normally expect Cody Johnson to have the best voice on almost any collaboration he could be apart of. However, Ian Munsick's smooth vocals sounded really good next to Johnson's. He definitely carried his own.
Written by Munsick, as well as Aby Gutierrez and Phil O'Donnell, "Long Live Cowgirls" Is a country and western ballad and probably the best release this week. Maybe all of 2022 so far. (Man, that still feels weird to type.)
“When I think of modern country and western music, I think of Cody Johnson,” Munsick said. “The way he pays respect to the tradition of the genre yet puts his own stamp on it is what has drawn me to his music for the last 10 years. ‘Long Live Cowgirls’ is a testament to the western way of life and how it’s still thriving today. There’s no one out there who represents that lifestyle better than CoJo.”
