Cody Johnson Among Most Nominated For 2022 American Music Awards - Country

The nominations were announced earlier today for the 2022 American Music Awards and Country music is in good hands (for the most part).

Bad Bunny leads all nominees with eight nominations, followed by Taylor Swift and Beyonce with six.

Coming in strong for Country music is Cody Johnson who has a total of three nominations. For Favorite Country Album, he's up against Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Walker Hayes, and Taylor Swift's new version of her album "Red."

In the Favorite Country Song category, Johnson's "Til You Can't" is up against Chris Stapleton's "You Should Probably Leave," Dustin Lynch and Mackenzie Porter's "Thinking 'Bout You," Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan's "Buy Dirt," and Morgan Wallen's "Wasted On You."

Cody Johnson is also nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist with Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Walker Hayes, whom should've never been on this fuckin' list to begin with. Sorry, not sorry.

The Favorite Female Country Artist nominees go to Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift.

Will I watch the whole awards show? Probably not. But I will stay tuned to see if Johnson can pull off any wins, especially for Favorite Country Song with "Til You Can't."
